Nadal’s 50TH Victory!

Rafael Nadal has done it yet again at the French Open; the ten time Grand Slam champion has finished his 50th victory at the French Open Tournament after beating world no.13 Nicolas Almagro. The king of clay wrapped up his opponent in three sets with a 7-6, 6-2, 6-3 score.

Nadal has improved his record at the Roland Garros with a 50-1 win loss figure where he lost only one game to former world no.4 Robin Soderling in 2009. He joins fellow players and tennis greats with 50 0r more wins at the French Open Tournament such as Roger Federer (54), Guillermo Vilas (56), Ivan Lendl (53), Andre Agassi (51) and Nicola Pietrangeli (50). Nadal has won all the 15 sets in which he played and also won 60 out of his 61 service games so far in the 2012 French Open Tournament. The 26 year old has played exceptional tennis and made his mark in history along with other tennis legends. he won 54 service games in a row after getting broken in the second set of his first round victory over Italian Simone Bolelli. He also saved 16 points out of the 17 break points including going 4 for 4 against his fellow team member Nicolas Almagro in the quarter finals of the tournament. He now moves onto the semi-finals in which he will take on David Ferrer on Friday 8th May at the Roland Garros, which is played on outdoor clay courts. His semi-final opponent while praising him says of his that it’s impossible to beat the king of clay who is in great form right now.

A surprise package from the Virgin Mobile – Unveiling it’s prepay iphone 4S for just $30 per month

Virgin mobile USA announced the launch of its iPhone 4S prepay services thus becoming the seventh U.S. wireless company to carry the iPhone. Another surprise package from its stables is the offering of prepay plan service that will be available only for $30 per month for the U.S. consumers. However, the consumers are required to pay the full retail price for the iPhone that costs $649 for a basic model that will be available for sale from June.29th.

Overall, the phone costs about $1269 for two years of services excluding the taxes. Virgin Mobile now becomes the U.S.’s second carrier to offer the iPhone on a prepay basis. The pricing structure being offered seems quite unusual as Virgin is expecting its’ customers to pay $649 for the 16 GB phone 4S and $549 for its one-year old phone iPhone 4.

However, the other side of the coin is that this plan for the U.S. customers is cheapest iPhone Plan offered for just $35 per month including 300 Voice Minutes with an unlimited voice plan that is available for $50 per month. The plan’s price is reduced further to $30 per month in case, the customer signs up for an automatic monthly billing. This price tag is $25 per month less than that being offered by Cricket’s prepaid service through its parent Leap Wireless International Inc. and is also less than the half the cost of the cheapest plans offered by other carriers.

Another chapter unveiled in the history of Face book – Launching of its App Center

Good news came to the fans and members of Face book with the launch of App center today that will help its members in exploring the software available on its social network. This App center features more than 600 applications that include services such as Pinterest and some popular games such as Bejeweled and Draw Something. The service will be available on desktop computers in addition to Android and iOS system based phones and tablets that run on Facebook’s own application.

The access to this App store will be first made available to the members in the United States and later on followed by the members in United Kingdom and in other countries. Face book further announced that each user would have a “personalized experience” based on the recommendations on what apps the users and their friends used. The company further added that only “high quality” apps would appear with the criterion based on members’ rating and its usage.
