4th of July tributes paid by Lana Del Rey through “National Anthem”

The prestigious Montreux Jazz festival in Switzerland became the breaking ground for the celebration of American Independence when the New York native Lana Del Rey performed a Fourth of July Concert with “National Anthem” – the latest single from her album. She was dressed in white mini lace dress with large flowers nestled in her hair. The entire concert of her was just forty five minutes of duration. Fans wanted more from this American chanteuse who swept into fame last year with the haunting debut single “Video Games”. Fans paid $80 or 78 Swiss Francs for the ticket on Wednesday evening show and they were mainly treated with the songs from Del Rey’s hit album “Born to Die” that included songs from her other albums.

Most of the fans were dissatisfied with duration of the show that was just forty five minutes without any introduction to the musicians. While performing the “National Anthem” the images of American flag, John F. Kennedy, Elvis Presley and fire works splashed across the screens. Fans were really impressed with the Del Rey’s performance unlike in the past when she got criticism of her shows.

Del Rey became the third biggest artist seller of 2012 on Britain’s charts with her album “Born to Die” after Adele’s “21” and “Our Version of Events” by Emeli Sande as per the figures released from the BPI record industry body published on Monday. Lana Del Rey’s real name is Elizabeth Grant and she was also named the Best International Breakthrough Act at the BRIT Awards – which is the British’s top honors in the month of February.
