Iran Nuclear Crisis

The world can be a very scary place when religion comes in the mix.

It inhibits people from seeing their way out during murky times.  What I mean is that religious people rely on scripture too much rather than good old fashioned common sense and a socially progressive prerogative.

The separation of religion and state is a must for countries that are feuding with each other.  Take for instance the Iran nuclear crisis and the alarming fact that this scientific endeavor is compelling Israel military action.  What makes matter’s worse is that once again America is the mediator, even though times in the United States are financially and politically in a sad state of turmoil.  Why does America always have to step in and be forced to take sides concerning deathly situations (with Iran having a NUCLEAR BOMB!).  The USA has taken Israel’s side because religiously, it is the correct thing to do.  Well, that and the fact that Iran’s president is out of his mind.

President Ahmadinejad is crazy racist person claiming that the holocaust never happened and with all his heart believes that Jews are ruining the world.  He has an agenda to eradicate the Jewish people based upon a scripture in the Quran that is outdated and basically being taken out of context to be turned into heresy… way to radical for anybody’s good.  But this reality doesn’t let Jews off the hook.

Their religion believes that Jesus wasn’t the son of God but just another prophet, like Mohammed.  I don’t believe this is the case, Jesus is all knowing and full of compassion for those that doesn’t know any better.

If these two nations that hate each other can plainly see that Jesus and Mohammed would be so ashamed for the despicable atrocities that there people are ready to commit, then maybe soldiers on both sides of the battlefield could put down their weapons and see each other as brothers that just were duped by their leaders.  The prime minster of Israel Netanyahu, in a conversation with Obama, said this about the current feeling in his homeland:

“It’s the ancient nation of Israel.  And, you know, we’ve been around for almost 4,000 years.  We’ve experienced struggle and suffering like no other people.  We’ve gone through expulsions and pogroms and massacres and the murder of millions.  But I can say that even at the dearth of — even at the nadir of the valley of death, we never lost hope and we never lost our dream of reestablishing a sovereign state in our ancient homeland, the land of Israel.”  While this is true, doesn’t this Jew know that nobody cares about the past anymore, people only care about a peaceful future.  After all what is the aim of religion?  Peace.  Moreover, compromise should take precedent over everything concerning the Palestine conflict.  That is what Mohammed and Jesus struggled for their entire lives to get people to realize!
