Titanic re-released in 3D to coincide with the 100th year of the tragedy

One of the biggest films in the history of Hollywood is set to return to the silver screen in 3D. Titanic was the highest grossing film with $1.843 billion until Avatar, directed by the same director grossed $2.77 billion.

Titanic was first released in 1997. It is a movie based on the real event of a passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean when it collided with an iceberg. The same movie is being re-released in 3D on the 100th anniversary of the tragedy.

Director James Cameron said the movie in 3D would crank up the experience. He said this is his way of paying tribute and added that, 3D would make the experience more real.
