Johnny Depp — Added another feather in his cap by receiving the MTV Generation Award

Johnny DeppJohnny Depp, the four decade old super star was presented with the MTV Generation Award at the recently concluded MTV Movie Awards Function in Los Angeles. The “MTV Generation Award” is MTV Awards ‘Highest Honor’ that has been presented to this actor as an acknowledgement for his contributions to the film industry and entertaining generations throughout his career. Johnny Depp is an actor, producer and musician all rolled in one was introduced on to the MTV stage by “Aerosmith” front man Steven Taylor and guitarist Joe Parry to receive this prestigious award.

The past recipients of the MTV Generation Award included Jim Carrey, Tom Cruise, Adam Sandler, Sandra Bullock, Ben Stiller, Reese Witherspoon and Mike Myers. Johnny Depp surprised the star studded audience by joining the bandwagon of The Black Keys by strapping on his guitar and rendering song of the rock band – ‘Gold on the Ceiling’. Johnny Depp is entertaining the audience for four decades with his own style of portraying different characters’ in a cool Hollywood style. His iconic style image in the films he acted on the small screen in “21 Jump Street” and in cult films like “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” and “Ed Wood” and big screen smash hits like the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series, “the Chocolate Factory”, “Sleepy Hollow” made him the household star.
