Michael Jackson Kith and Kin watches the Unity Tour

The pop icon Michael Jackson’s children, Prince Michael aged – 15, Paris aged – 14 and ten years old Prince Michael – II went to see the concert of Jackson Brothers  aptly title – “Unity Tour” in Saratoga, California. In spite of the dispute over the custody of the Michael Jackson’s kids between the Jackson family, matriarch Katherine Jackson and the kids of Michael Jackson there seemed unity among the family members of Michael Jackson.  The grand mother of Michael Jackson has temporarily lost the custody of the kids last week following her mysterious holiday to Arizona.

Katherine Jackson received a standing ovation from the crowd when she was spotted entering the concert. Jermaine Jackson announced at the concert that the Jackson family is one and united and they are one family and will heal soon. The children were saddened over their grand mother – Katherine Jackson reported to be missing over for a number of days and they had not spoken to her all these missing days. The kids were then put under the guardianship of Michael’s nephew TJ who is the son of Tito Jackson in the absence of Katherine.

During the Jacksons’s time in Arizona, Katherine reportedly had no communication with her grandchildren.  But, later on she claimed that she had taken the break voluntarily and therefore had cut off all her contacts.  But now it seems that the story has more twists and turns as on Friday, Katherine’s attorney Perry Sanders said in a statement to ABC News that the 82 year old- venerated old woman and her grand son TJ will file a petition at the beginning of this week asking the court to reinstate Katherine as the guardian and appoint TJ as co-guardian of Michael Jackson’s kids.

Rerelease of Michael Jackson’s -Bad Album -Immortalizing 25 years of its existence

Michael Jackson, the king of Pop- will return back this September through his album Bad with a new music and a new concert video that was not seen before and this rerelease will mark the 25th anniversary of the original- Grammy award winning album– BAD.

The Bad 25 deluxe package will be released on 25th September consisting of new songs that were recorded in the Jackson’s studio while making the album. This package will also include the DVD of Jackson’s performance for British Prince Charles and Lady Diana at the London’s Wembley stadium in London in 1988 in front of 72,000 fans. The video was found in the singer’s personal collection and is considered to be the only copy of the performance that was especially taped for Jackson’s own use.

The “Bad” Album is the winner of two Grammy awards and sold more than forty-five million copies globally. The hits of Bad include – “Dirty Diana”, “Smooth Criminal”, and the title track of the Album –“Bad”. This album in fact marks collaboration of famous Motown producer Quincy Jones, who steered the production responsibilities of Jackson’s solo album named- Off The Wall- and the hit album – Thriller- that raked in a huge popularity globally.

Music files worth $250 million stolen from Sony

Sony Music confirms that hackers have stolen music files and data from them. According to some sources, the theft took place around April last year. Among the files that were stolen were the music files of the late ‘king of pop’ Michael Jackson. After his death, in 2010 Sony Music under Sony Corps signed a deal with Jackson’s estate. According to the deal, Sony was going to release about 10 albums of previously unreleased material. The entire back catalogue of Jackson was stolen. Among the files stolen were also music files of Jimi Hendrix, Paul Simon, the Foo Fighters and Avril Lavigne.

Though the figures around this deal are not confirmed, the deal is said to be worth up to $250 million. In connection with case, two men James Marks and James McCormick were arrested last May and were charged in September. But they denied the charges. The charges were filed under the Computer Misuse act and Copyright, Designs and Patents Act. They are out on bail and are set to be tried in the beginning of next year.

Whitney Houston’s Death Sparks of the Addiction Debate Again

We’ve been through this before and it does not end here either. Whitney Houston joined a long list of celebrities that have fallen victim to substance abuse. Her tragic death has once again raised questions about the nexus between Hollywood, drugs and Alcohol and more specifically what is means to America as a society.

Heath ledger, Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse are just a few names of celebrities who died recently because of problems relating to narcotics. The stories of their death are even more painful considering the timing of their deaths. Heath Ledger had the world at his feet, having reprised the role of the Joker in “The Dark Knight” and just when people were looking forward to this exciting young actor, came the shocking news of his demise. He even went on to win the Oscar for the ‘best supporting actor’ after his death. The case of Michael Jackson is also equally heart wrenching. All plans were in place for his concert to take place and he was through with a majority of his rehearsals as well. The worlds lined up to buy tickets to his concert and were waiting to be enthralled by the King of Pop when the unimaginable happened. The shady story behind his death has made his case even murkier.
